Self-Selected Response (SSR)

Having to read Fahrenheit 451 causes a deep interest because from I have read books causing this much trouble in one society is issue. Technology has fazed out books completely is crazy. One physical book can cause you either to be burnt to death with your home or your house burnt then your under arrest. It amazes because I feel that reality is closer than we know it or even realize and that is the sad part.

Look how many hours we actually on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and etc. Times have changed dramatically talking on the phone to 150 characters with a max of 220 messages. We have become so socially dependent off of our advanced technology that we will soon be at the point where having the physical book has become extinct. They even have apps so books can be downloaded onto the phone, computer, Ipod, which is bittersweet piece to technology

The more interesting fact about this book is there is no leadership. No one wants to stand up and become a leader and fight against the nonsense they face. They all just sit there and wait till things reached it's breaking point to decide to stand up and it may be to late. If you question something and feel like it is wrong don't hesitate to speak out about it. This interested me because people are so quick to hold their tongue and sit back and watch things transpire instead of taking a leading voice and act questions.

  1. Hmm, it's a little tricky to choose a book we're reading in class for your SSR, but it's a text, so it counts. Based on what you have written here, it seems like you should have a strong essay!
