Free Choice

I can't wait till the spring break. I'm tired everyday even going to sleep early doesn't help at all. It seems like everyday there is a new project coming into place. People always said senior year is the easiest school year in your high school career. Slowly, but surely it dawns on you that this is one of the most challenging ones. This senior class has received more work in this past semester than we have in the past 4 years. It was always the perception that senior year was suppose to be fun-filled with about 4 classes, but that idea has sailed. I have a full schedule due to the fact the DOE do not want kids to leave school earlier than dismissal time.

The only thing that motivates me to actually give a effort in my classes that aren't a requirement is due to the fact these grades go on my transcript. Other than that I would give half the effort to the class and attention. I have all my credits except two classes and it is annoying to me that I waste my day away in pointless classes that I sat in for 4 years. That is why this spring break is needed because I need time to reengize myself because I haven't had the chance to. Even though I know there will be work over that break given by at least one teacher, but I need some time away from school. Following this same routine over and over is draining with no change is really exhausting.

Class Related Response (CRR)

Lately in English 12 we have focused on William Shakespeare's play "Midsummer Night". This story is a love conflict between the characters. Also we have had a new person named WT to come to the class and I assume to give us a clearer understanding to this story. To be honest the story has a interesting plot, but it is the vocabulary that loses the interest so early and why the dislike comes in. Every other line needs a translation and we lose the flow to the story because there is a stop every second. Other than that, the story is easy to follow. I know for me I don't pay attention to the story or give the effort into understanding it because I can't relate to it, I can't even put myself in the situation to relate at all.

A woman is in love with another man, but is having her life threatened if she doesn't follow her father wishes. The main question is: "Will she follow what her heart really want?". This story by Shakespeare tests the strengths of love and how far people will go for it. If people want love will they risk their life for it? Love will drive people to do some crazy things, such as being rebellious and risking everything for happiness. This is where the story would get very intense. It becomes intense because you are actually forced to think. This is where I start to believe that Shakespeare's main purpose was to paint a picture for the reader.
