Usually around this time my passion would be a "New Years Resolution", but it is different this time. My passion is to continue to make Sean a better person. This passion is more of a "Life Resolution". In the past I have been known to have a quick temper, going from 0-50 and plus in the matter of seconds. I have to learn to not jump off the handle every time something happens that I feel offended, disrespected, or I have to speak out against. Going from 0-50 only means trouble in my future. As you can see now some people aren't that fond of me because of me being stupid and jumping off the handle like everybody expects me to do.
In the past that quick temper hasn't gotten me anywhere other than bigger arguments, more headaches, and then me feeling bad at the end of the day. With a quick temper like this won't help me progress to any goals I'm trying to reach in my life, but it will make it harder and put more obstacles in my way that weren't meant to be there in the first place. I don't need to add the stress unto my back that wasn't their to begin with.
I'm passionate with making 2015 and all the years of life to rid myself of the bad trait. Don't get my wrong I don't feel bad about expressing myself, but to know enough is enough needs to be implicated into my life because I always want the last word and being that stubborn I will keep going till I do. Making Sean a better man is the real passion, the real goal and objective in my life.
It's so funny to me because i had the same New Year's Resolution. People have all these different kinds of resolutions and never achieve them because they procrastinate. I do see that your trying to better yourself but do it for yourself and not because others are telling you to. You doing good bro keep it up.
ReplyDeleteI admire the fact that you were able to identify your negative traits and how you are taking the initiative to change yourself, not because people are telling you this, but because you want to. That is truly what growing up is; Having the integrity to know what to do even when people aren't watching. Keep it up !
ReplyDeleteI like how you took your big goal of making 'Sean better' and broke it down into the smaller goal of controlling your temper. I still wonder if you should consider breaking that down more. How are you going to control your temper? What will you actually change?
